In 2023, I experienced a successful season, although there weren't as many victories or podium finishes as I would have liked. Nevertheless, I felt satisfied, especially after a challenging 2022 season. My team and I managed to overcome numerous challenges and achieve significant progress together.
I was still motivated. Especially after I had a difficult 2022 season.
Giant liga and L'etape are my goalsI have a number of big goals that I would like to achieve in the 2024 season. The main goal is to be on the overall podium of the Giant Liga Series. In 2022 I finished 6th overall and last season I was 4th overall. Therefore, it is a big goal of mine to try to reach the podium. For this, I will need to be consistent over the 12 rounds of the series. With the resources and the support that the Rafkarna IDEA Cycling Team have given me I am confident that we will be in the fight for the overall podium. Like it was last year, I’m sure it will be an interesting battle whatever happens. Another big goal of mine for 2024 is to achieve a good result at the L’Etape Czech Republic in June. It would be great to be on the podium of this race. It is as close to a ‘home’ race as possible for me. I really like the look of the course, there are many nice and challenging climbs on the route, which suit my abilities and finishing by the iconic Strahov Stadium will be really special. |

Homerace Velka cena Hradce KrálovéI would like to start the season off successfully, therefore I am aiming to be in a good condition for the first race of the season, the Velka Cena Hlohovec in March. Last year the team were able to have a really good day, finishing 2nd, 5th and 6th. It would be great to improve on these results this season. A few weeks after this will be the classic; Velka Bites-Brno-Velka Bites. I really want to be in good shape for this race to see what I can achieve against the best riders in the country. One of the biggest races on our calendar this season will be the Velka Cena Hradec Kralove on the 8th of September. This is a superbly well organised race and a race with a fantastic atmosphere. Although city centre criteriums are not really my cup of tea, I would really like to be in the mix for a good result at this race, a top 10 against some of the best riders in the country would be great. |
Team supportAnother goal for me in the 2024 season is to be a part of more team successes and support and help other riders on the team. We have a really great team for the 2024 season with lots of talent. An ideal opportunity for this will be the Sezemicke Okruhy in May. An important race for the team, being held close to the teams home. I believe we have a great opportunity to win this race with Ondrej Rybin, especially if we work as a team with a common goal. I am also really looking forward to being a part of and helping to grow the amazing community that has been cultivated by the Rafkarna IDEA Cycling team. 2024 will be the second year of the IDEA Stages. The 2023 IDEA stages were a huge success and I am very excited to be a part of the stages on the 29th of June, 27th of July and the 31st of August this year. |
